A British pharmacist explains his vision of the myth of the unicorn and the use of his horn in medicine. The unicorn is a mythical beast that has been associated with medicine and pharmacy for hundreds of years. It is believed that the first to mention the therapeutic properties of the unicorn horn was Ctesias, a Greek physician of the fifth century BC. He believed the vessels made with the horn could neutralize the poison and provide protection against seizures and epilepsy if they drank from them.
In the Middle Ages it was used to cure plague, fevers and the bites of snakes and rabid dogs. Basically it was like a panacea, that according to its etymology, means that «it cures everything». That’s why we offer you many containers, cups of unicorns and glasses, so you can drink from them and be happy :) We also bring you many horns of unicorns, of thousands of colors, so that you also have your own !!
